So I've had an "emergency call system not available" light that has been going on and off intermittently for a number of months. From what I've read here it's probably either a battery that needs to be replaced, or water has gotten into the shark fin antenna. It's finally staying on all the time, so I decided to bring it in for repair. After they checked the error codes, the only error codes they find are intermittent active grill malfunction. Nothing about the emergency call system, etc. Does this make sense? I haven't noticed the grills staying open or closed, and they said since it's "intermittent" that I probably just didn't notice. Before they tear apart the front bumper to fix the active grill, wanted to see if anyone else had the same issues? Would the active grill shutter issue cause an emergency call system notification?
