I had a week 21 build X3 M40i. This is still currently week 21, and the vehicle arrived at NY dealership today. Cheers.

Congrats! Hopefully production starts next week for me. The wait is excruciating.

Waiting to hear whether I’m getting an allocation for June, hopefully should hear something next week. I’m #2 in line for M40i. The lack of a firm date is killing me.

I've been pushed back to week 26. What makes it even worse is that no one can tell me why. I hope this is the official build week. I do not want to get slotted into a MY23 build. I should've ordered an X3M40 or M440i. Super bummed!

I have a Production Date of March 8 (tomorrow) for my M40i order, but still no activity on the tracker beyond "Production begins" which has shown for 2 weeks. When can I expect it to start moving along the line?

Separately, any experience with transport times from SC to TN?

For what it's worth I had a production date of 2/20 for my M40i. It flipped to "Production Begins" on 2/6 and "Entering Assembly Line" on 2/17. Then it updated all the way to "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" first thing Monday morning, 2/20, so I suspect it was actually built on that Friday and the tracking was just slow to update.

Now counting the hours until PCD on 3/23!

How were you able to tell the red brake calipers were deleted by the factory? My production date was 3/7/2023 and I also elected for red calipers, so I'm wondering if mine got deleted too.

It did not show up under "Your Build Options" so contacted my salesman who said it must have been kicked back. It's also possible he made a mistake on the build, but being fixed either way.

I'm curious what the status is of your 3/7 build and where it's shipping?

That's interesting! I looked under my "standard features" drop down of the tracking in MyBMWGarage, and it's still listed there. The option code (3M2) also still shows up under options when doing the F12 trick, so I guess we'll see once it arrives!

In regards to whether you sales associate messed up or not, if you got a copy of your build sheet (vehicle inquiry report that had your production number, options, pricing, etc.) from your sales associate, you can look to see if code 3M2 is listed. If it is, then he appropriately included the option in the build. If that code is not in your build sheet, then he likely accidentally omitted it during the build process.

My status as of now (changed this morning) is "Dispatched from Factory," and it's shipping to PA.
