Is this like a tune? Sorry I've never done this to any of my cars and I'm about to install a downpipe. From what I heard I might get a check engine light and don't want to have it on, will this remove the check engine light?

It's not an engine tune, no. It basically connects to three sensors and 'tricks' the car into changing things like boost pressure. This wouldn't trigger a CEL (didn't for me). As for the downpipe, no idea, nor whether this would be compatible - it's not a JB4 so not sure how customisable it is.
