That would be sweet. I've never paid MSRP for a vehicle so anything will help!

Dealer stock? So for the foreseeable future, the coupon is pretty close to worthless for ANY new BMW.

Good point. It'll be interesting to see how the discounts are handled this year. In previous years I remember the discount not applying to ordered cars, but I could be wrong on this. Either way, I have no idea what this year's discount terms will be.

Ha yeah fine print made it hard to use on anything ordered in my recent experience, and even then it’s split $500 from OEM and $500 if the dealer wants to participate… you can guess if the dealers will want to participate

One of the UDE instructors told me this at the LA event last autumn. Those autocross courses are so narrow and short that straight line acceleration really doesn't matter since you are braking and turning nearly the entire time.
Personally I found the M440xi to feel VERY large and vague on autocross. There is a serious lack of communication between the wheels and the driver as to what the hell is going on. Certainly better than the RC-F and C43 but not as good as the RWD M340 and not even in the same conversation as smaller lighter cars. The i4 will be even more heavy and vague...

The latest car and driver review says that the i4 M50 would handle just fine and it puts up better #'s than even the RWD M340i:
- agile - changes direction willingly - balanced Yes, the i4 M50 is heavy, but the weight is contained within the center of the vehicle down low (CG is approx 3" lower than a 3 series), very little of the front motor stick out beyond the front axle line unlike the M440i which has some motor behind even the front tire line, and the weight is rear-biased along with a very rear-biased drive system. I've been to 3 UDE events, they will tailor the track to suite the particular vehicle.
