M3 Comp V i4 M50

Interesting matchup which didnt go the way i thought it would given the motors involved.

Expected the i4 to destroy the M3 what with its 544bhp, 795nm torque and Awd.

Still though, i4 possibly proves its everyday real world performance credentials and the M3 comp RWD simply underlines just how good the M3 RWD actually is.

xDrive G8X would of stomped a mud hole in the i4. Weight difference is everything.

Massively. Xdrive would have seen the i4 off easily.

Thats a matchup id like to see.

Its so frustrating that these press tests never use the xdrive models.

The problem would be if the i4 tried to do it 10 times while turning and braking….bye bye

Its frustrating if youre an xdrive owner wanting to know how your xdrive M3 stacks up against the quickest i4 but as an M3 comp RWD owner i found it pretty interesting.

It wont be long before youll see an xdrive V i4 M50

But surely, isnt it the M3 Xdrive V M3P the show down we want to see?

My take away from this video is that i4 (and other high performance EVs) will be great every day real world cars but current ICE M cars are the better track cars.

Absolutely, one day the EV may be a better track car, but that day is definitely not today.

I predict the Cayman EV will be the first of many.
