Eibach Springs - Advice and Options
I'm looking at having some aftermarket springs installed on my new G82 M4 Comp xDrive to lower the car slightly and have pretty much decided that Eibach's are the way to go, along with Eibach spacers.
However I do have some questions for the forum, to help me decide if/what to go for 1. What is the minimum drop that Eibach springs offer? 2. I don't want my car slammed but I do want the stock gap reduced front and back - can anyone recommend the optimal drop without it looking like I'm trying to compete in Fast & Furious? (I also don't want tyre rub - FYI the car was delivered with Pirelli P Zeros) 3. Related to Q2 above, what are the optimal spacers to fill the arches, with the minimal drop I'm looking for - 12 & 15 seems pretty common? TIA, Rich |

I have a set of them lying around, however not sure if I'll install them, as I ordered a new M3 xDrive last Friday...
Eibach(at least in Europe) explicitely states that the front spring set is not to be used on AWD cars. So I'll probably end up selling my set.

I only got to drive it home from the shop when I picked it up. NJ winter and My 3rd temp plate has expired and Im still waiting to get my plates after receiving the car 4 months ago. NJ is a nightmare for out of state purchases. So the car is just sitting in the garage. But when I did pick it up I tried pulling in and out of the parking spot and my driveway with the steering wheel at full lock both ways and I did not get any rubbing then.

On Eibachs website I don't even see springs offered for the G8X cars.

They've suggested Eibach's which suits me as I had them in my Subaru WRX and my Subaru SpecC years ago (fitted by their co-owned tuning company who specialised in ECU remaps, performance and suspension mods, laser wheel alignment, etc). I've asked about whether Eibach are offering (approving) the use of their springs on G8x cars and, in particular, xDrive models. I'll let you know what they feed back 👍🏼 |

As an update - the company I'm speaking to have confirmed that Eibach do not currently offer springs for the xDrive G8x model, which is a bit disappointing:
"I have spoken to Eibach, the springs they offer at the moment do not support the Xdrive 4WD and that these are currently in development with themselves" So...can anyone recommend any other springs that are offered for G82 xDrive - Ive seen ISO AST springs mentioned on another post, can anyone confirm these are suitable and any other feedback? Thanks |

I’ve got a g82 xdrive on order too. Evolve have confirmed to me that the MSS springs will fit xdrive models.
You can pick your ride height from 0-30mm drop. I’ve seen an M4 on eibachs that lower it by 20mm and it looks perfect, very modest drop, looks factory. I too don’t want that slammed look and I’ll also have the family in the car, so 30mm will be too much. There is a chap on here (UK) that had his TB M4 lowered 20mm and it looks perfect. I’ll be going 12mm spacers all round if the car comes with Michelin’s, 10/12mm if not. |

I've ordered H&R spring specifically made for xdrive (#28616-4) for my G82 which recently came out. had been searching for right spring where I dont want too much drop and specifying that it is made for x drive as there had been many discussion relating to x drive spring. I've notice some vendor trying to sell regular non xdrive spring (#28616-2) claiming it's for xdrive. verify the number ending in -4 to ensure it's for x drive. I am bit nervous going for HAS as I never used em before,, finally found spring made for xdrive. I have yet to receive and install. currently in waiting. https://www.hrsprings.com/applicatio...e/4/Suspension check under M4 Compeitition Xdrive ,, it's 1.2 front and 1 rear which is very minimal drop, perfect for my taste |

Quick Update:
Motech just released this video detailing the prototype Eibach springs for the xDrive cars. Should be out soon. I'm torn between this and KW HAS. Will probably go Eibach for that OEM+ look. Video

Rather take time and put the right spring on it HR Spring ending in -4 are exclusive for xdrive. It'll be about and 1" ish drop, which is perfect for my taste. 30mm min. drop on HAS was too extreme for me anyway :P |
