Will the i4 production slow or stop?
There’s both a new strong surge of COVID-19 cases in Germany and now a ‘horrific’ mutated variant spreading through South Africa. All this makes me wonder if this will have a significant impact on vehicle production in Germany.
Let’s hope that’s not the case, people stay well and we don’t start a new round of shutdowns. |

I don't think Omicron will affect deliveries honestly. At this point most supply chain issues have been sorted to deal with COVID. I'm more concerned about chip shortages leading to missing parts on final builds. To that effect I'd rather wait and get my car as specced rather than compromise on missing optional features.

Once media hysteria dies down, hopefully this new variant will have little impact. Even the Dr who discovered it stated that symptoms so far have been mild. To my knowledge viruses can become more severe OR more transmissible, not both.
As the post above states, I’d be more concerned about having a lower spec car delivered due chip shortages. |
