Reduced parking assistance error

My car somehow developed this issue in the last few days:

(not my photo but it's the same message)

I figured it's probably because the parking sensors were dirty/needed a clean, but I had the car detailed yesterday but the error still comes up whenever I put the car into reverse.

I still have the camera/surround view but just not the proximity sensor beep/visual overlay.

Anyone came across this problem before? I will get need to get my local BMW garage to take a look at it..

Okay so strange, this morning went for a drive, and the error is now gone! My sensors are working again..

All I can think of is, last night when I checked it did rain quite heavily, could that have caused some problems?

Not sure if this would cause it, but has it been cold enough for the rain to freeze over the sensor?
I have not seen an error, but I have had issues with snow and ice causing the sensors to think I am too close to something.
