The following question is in reference to the LED door projectors, such as the ones shown here: https://ind-distribution.com/collect...ctor-light-kit

Q: Has anyone ever tried to make their own custom image slides to insert into the projector? For example, say someone had an X3 but also really loved the Dodgers. Is it even remotely possible to create a projector slide that has the team logo on it? So that when your front doors open the logo is displayed on the ground instead of the BMW logo?

I have !! well, kinda.

I used a set of image slides from a cheap set of Chinese clones mounted into the OE BMW projector frames. Took a few tries to get the clocking correct, but it worked flawlessly.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make the clone projectors work with the vehicle as they created enough electrical interference to disable the comfort access..

Anyways, this is what mine look like:



I didn't want full out posing ///M ones, as my cruck isn't an M.. However, the X3M40i is considered M-Performance.. so in my eyes, that was allowed.

So by "clocking", do you mean that it took a bit of effort to get the new image slide oriented properly in the housing so it projected at the right angle?
