Powder coating brakes?

Hey guys, I plan on having my OEM Iron brakes powder coated. Did you guys split your calipers for powder coating or leave them together? I’ve read you shouldn’t split them, but I’m concerned I’ll melt the internal Oring in the calipers.

I had mine painted rather than powder coated. They've held up just fine for 4 years now. No signs of wear at all.

This is what I'll end up doing since I ultimately want red.

If any of you plan on tracking your cars hard that paint is going to take a beating and eventually fade.

In my 30+ years of track driving I've yet to see a street production vehicle's painted calipers NOT FADE..

Lol, I should've probably mentioned that I do not track my car.

I also chose to go black, so probably even less of a chance of seeing wear and fade vs. any other color.

I bet I could ...Seriously I've faded a BBK setup with Black Calipers as well.

They slowly turned grey over a 3 year period...(lots of track time).

You should be fine...
