550i Flood Victim Update

Hey guys sorry been awhile! Had a lot to sort out with DME's and a few other computer / ecu's to fix.

Ran into an issue i couldnt figure out.. and finally getting somewhere.

Long story short for now, My fuel pump died, replaced it and figured out why, clog in my fuel line.

Car is in an unheated garage atm so ive got the heat on to see if its water and im going to blow the lines out tomorrow if i can.

Main help i could use from anyone willing or knowledgeable -

I need to know the best place to disconnect the lines near the engine to blow out- Any help would be greatly appreciated!

New video coming soon / UrAverageMechanic / Youtube

On the end of the blue semi-rigid plastic fuel line at the lower left firewall?

I found a good spot, got it all drained. Tons of water was still in lines, car is now running and will idle on its own! Big step forward

Sorry, I was asking where you found the quick disconnect to purge your fuel line...the only quick-disconnect I know of is on the low pressure side, where the blue rigid fuel like comes from the gas tank, runs under the car on the driver's side, and the connector is located right around the floor pan and firewall, driver's side....

Or did you find a quick disconnect on the high pressure side? (I though all of those fittings were rigid stainless steel)

AND glad you are making positive progress on this vehicle.....

Coming off the High pressure is a metal line, that leads to a black Braded line. If you follow it to the fender there is a type of quick disconnect to the blue line that leads down the the fire wall, It s super easy get too, right on top under the drivers side plastics.
