Can't decide I know an intake won't produce much power.

Dinan intake(looks good and not obnoxious sounding)
Eventuri (cons expensive, looks really good but could spend money on other parts).

Are you doing it for looks and sound?

Otherwise I'm resigned to leaving it stock.

Mainly looks. I don't want ridiculous sound like an open intake rather hear exhaust sound. I don't think the Eventuri sound is too ridiculous.

The Eventuri fits with the CFSB. Love how it looks, hate how it sounds.

Pic from the web, not my car; I have the CFSB but stock intake...and that CF engine cover might just be a step to far.

Love the carbon engine cover but hate the price. Too much money for a hidden cosmetic upgrade.

I think the little howl sound is kind of cool like an owl. But, then again I don't know how loud it is in person. I can see why it might be annoying.

M performance and Fabspeed catted downpipe setup.

Not sure how I feel about a carbon engine cover for $950.

I think that pic would look better if it had the real M2 carbon cover... with the M power center accent down the middle. The one on that car is a generic N55 one. I think that stripe will brake up the look of too much carbon.

And if they got rid of the oem corner braces, will make it look less cluttered.
I think that piece can be added on some covers.

I'm catless dp and akra exhaust and you couldnt hear the howl unless the valves were closed and you were driving at low speeds.

I'm at a similar point. I have the carbon brace, which I am going to install in a few weeks. I currently have the Dinan intake (I like the sound, but it is not a massive change), fabspeed sport cat, resonator delete and stock muffler.

I am getting the Dinan muffler section installed along with the carbon brace. I am still not sure if it will fit with the Dinan intake, the Dinan airbox sits much higher than stock.

Just don't keep the corner braces in you should be fine. But, please do give me an update if the Dinan intake works with the carbon brace.

Thanks,
SC

Eventuri answers also in that same thread.

That will be 5 gamestop stocks as payment for the help.
You do not want that stock right now

Cosmetic upgrade! That carbon fiber engine cover must be 1/2lb lighter than the OEM cover so it definitely falls into the performance upgrade category! LMOL

I hate that suck and dump sound, reminds me of just about every Subaru WRX a few years ago when they seemed to be everywhere.

I went with Remus and my neighbors already hate me so I've stayed away from the downpipe...for now.
