M2c Battery

So the other day I was taking off the bolts for the battery terminal to install a battery tender for winter and I noticed that they were a challenge to get off. It felt like I was rettapping the nut but they went back on just fine. Is this a measure bmw puts into place to keep the terminals from coming off or am I doing something wrong?

Mine came off with no trouble when I installed my steering wheel trim.

Yes that is normal. Also do not plug in the battery tender to the battery direct, use the positive and neg post under the hood / bonnet (Uk).
