Does anyone know what's the loudest exhaust for the M2 LCI?

I'm driving with the M Performance and decat Wagner downpipe, so it's loud. But will an full titanium catless exhaust like FI or Armytrix louder?

FI , Armytrix, and GTHaus are louder than MPE in my opinion

I'm going to say FI and Armytrix, they're pretty damn loud with a decat.

I don't think this is correct. It's about shapes. A horn would be louder than no horn.

Well the "horn" of the exhaust would essentially be a tip in this instance. The fact that the muffler delete is the louder option compared to any other muffler section still stands.

Yeah, I still don't think so. I've heard them back to back and the Armytrix is louder than the Dinan muffler delete for sure. The FI may be louder still, but I've not heard it beside the Armytrix.

Dinan doesn't make a muffler delete. They make a resonator delete that still leaves the entire stock muffler section. Or, you could add the louder Dinan muffler section but that is still not a muffler delete.

I meant to say Fabspeed, not Dinan.

Mufflers (also known as silencers) quiet the exhaust note by definition.

The Dinan is just a resonator delete anyways, doesn't actually remove the muffler.

A true muffler delete will always be louder.

Yes, but I've seen mufflers that work more like a horn, increasing volume, which is common on motorcycles.

As I said above, I meant Fabspeed, not Dinan for the muffler delete. I've heard this piece, and it actually sounds quite nice, but the drone is terrible.

I just think it's deeper than what is being presented here. Maybe someone on the board has personal experience with all of them. There is a Fabspeed muffler delete in the classifieds at the moment, so maybe that guy knows. Also, on babybmw.net there are guys that do the videos for YouTube that have the Armytrix/FI/etc. I'm sure they know the loudest one.

They're flared like a horn. I haven't seen one like that for our vehicles.

So, I'd say the fabspeed muffler delete it extremely loud, but the Valvetronic system is louder by a bit because of no resonators, cats or mufflers when the valves are opened.

Have videos of both exhausts and you can hear the difference in both videos.

This is exactly the sort of thing I wanted to hear. Real world experience.

I'm keeping the stock downpipe currently, but I'm going from fully mechanically stock to Dinan intake, res delete, and muffler section later this month/early November (depends when Dinan ships my parts).

I am going to try and get reliable, reproduceable decibel readings at 5, 25, and 50 feet in both configurations, and with the valves fully opened and closed (I have the Macht Schnell EVC so I can control it independently) so we can finally get some real data.

I only have my phone to take measurements though, so if someone in the Orange County area has an actual decibel meter, I would gladly accept their help.

Or you can buy a db meter and return it after use.
