This Italian lady looks really hawt! Been thinking of this car ever since it came onto the market but the resale value of alfas in Asia is very poor. Have not been able to bite the bullet and get one of these just yet.

Yeah the Quadrifoglio is both a risk financially and for reliability, however the 4-cylinder variant, which also drives excellent, can be had with some significant discounts (at least in the US) and reliability is much better. I've been thinking about one since I drove one last summer, could be a good way to get a fun sports sedan and cut my lease payment in half.

The Giulia does look great. I know I'm in the minority here, but the G8x front end has many parallels with the Giulia, such as a pretty tall, vertical central grill flanked by two very wide, lower intakes. The G8x has the same theme. Next to the camo G8x, the Giulia front end actually seems less balanced. I think BMW is on to something new and fun for us. I'm cautiously optimistic that it's going to look great. Seeing the Giulia in this thread increases the optimism.

Unless it's an exotic supercar, I feel that the GTA and many Italian cars are over-styled for my tastes. They do look good, but they're just too loud to use as a daily driver/family hauler.

The GTA isn't a daily, its for the track, even has a rear seat delete, only 500 will be built though.

IMO it's a very attractive car. You could stare at it and dissect that it kind of looks like a happy face or something but stepping back it really does look good. Maybe this look is a bit old hat for Europeans but Alfa has been out of the North American market for decades so it looks fresh here.

Two different designs. As usual not difficult two guess which is German and which is Italian. Where the cars are very similar is specifications. Pretty much same hp, both RWD, both ZF AT, both six cylinder FI engines. Weight should be very close as well.
Anyone wondering how the G80 RWD AT will perform on track and the strip the QV should be a good reference with the BMW likely having superior engineering and just as likely being underrated making it a bit faster in every measure. |

Except that the interior of the QV doesn't belong in a car of that price. A Mazda 6 has a nicer interior.
