G20 Parking Assistant Plus - Finding a parking space??
I've been experimenting with the Parking Assistant Plus feature. The "finding the spot" seems to work intermittently. I can drive through a lot that may be 50% full, and the car will only find a spot of 5%-10% of those available. Same is true with on-street parallel parking. I drive through the lot (or on the street when looking for parking) at 5-10MPH.
Once I do find a spot, the feature is cool and works well, and will hopefully save me from a good deal of wheel rash. Curious how the rest of you are finding the feature.

From my experience, it only works when there are two cars parked with ONE empty space between them. So if there are two cars parked with two (or more) empty spaces between them, it won't "find" any parking spaces.

Exactly. The feature is immature.

It works fine, but only under very optimal conditions. I would say that it isn't advanced enough as a user would expect such a car to be in this day and age. |

Why would you still need a parking ASSISTANT if there's plenty of room to park it yourself? Just wondering if maybe it's working like designed.. Eg is the sotiation is fairly simple it expect you to do the work. After all it's not an parking robot.

It doesn't sound like it has been "updated"/"modernized". I don't have my '20 yet, but that is the same way my '16 340 behaved.

Your 2020 G20 PA+ is totally hands off. No need to hold the Parking button or operate the shift lever. PA+ is improved in the G20 but still suffers from limitations. Maybe in a couple more years....
