Bilstein's B16 HELP

So I just installed my Bilsteins B16's PSS10 on my 340i xdrive.

I'm having some noises coming from the front suspensions. Top strut, End Link Bolt, Wishbone bolt feels pretty tighten. I wouldn't say the noise is a loud thunk. more like a hollow type noise especially going over small bumps like driveway entering/exiting at slow speeds.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? I was thinking i should wait till it settles in longer and hope it'll go away.

Were the coilovers installed by yourself or by a shop?

This noise is not normal. Something did not go right during the installation. The spring might be rotating but it's completely uneducated guess.

Did you follow these instructions (from Bilstein):

"All rubber- mounted strut/ damper attachments - must not be fully tightened until AFTER the suspension system is loaded (wheels on the ground). Other mounting fasteners (for example brackets) must be securely tightened BEFORE load is placed on the suspension system"

It was my endlinks. I couldn't torque it correctly because the nut has a hex nut in the center. So my torque wrench wont work with a hex key. But since I tighten it the noise went away.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing the root cause. Well - it's usually something which hasn't been torqued properly.

I cannot say enough about investing in a quality torque wrench.
