short driver in a M2C
I've heard from many people and on reviews that the seat height is too high on the M2C. I'm just curious if there's any "short" owners that still have this problem? I'm only 5'5" (insert short guy joke here) and my 535i allows me to sit pretty low because the seats are amazingly adjustable. Do the M2C seats have adjustability range like in the 5 series?

I've never understood when Chris Harris said that the seating position is too high. Maybe I'm just not as used to supercar seating positions like he is. Anyways, I can't comment about anything relative to the 5 series but I can say that the seating position feels really spot on for me and outward visibility is really great. I don't think you will have any issue with the range of adjustability for the M2C seat unless you are 6'3''+ or are really long in the upper body.

I'm 6'1" and fit perfectly comfortably. The M2C seats (US Spec) do have a height adjustment.
I tend to think anyone 5' to 6'5" or so would fit equally comfortably. |

I'm 5'10" and need the seat 2 clicks up from lowest as a minimum just to see clearly over the instrument binnacle.
Any shorter and you'd want it higher still. Agree Chris Harris is a short guy too, how can he say M2C seats are too high? |

I'm fine at 6' but my fiancee 5'5" has issues with the MT gear selector caused by the side bolster after moving the seat close enough to the pedals.
Her elbow can't comfortably be on the arm rest so gear changes are basically stabilized only by her shoulder. Makes it a bit lurchy sometimes. The seat position is perfect for me though. I can do wrist flick shifts or full arm throws. |

Your fiancée drives a manual? She’s a keeper! That’s one of the many things I love about my wife, too.

I'm 6'1" and my previous car was an M4 Comp. When the seat is adjusted to the lowest position in both cars, I'm definitely sitting higher in the M2 compared to my M4. So the struggle is real at least for some people. This bothered me quite a bit when I first got the car and I'm slowly getting used to it but it looks like I'll be switching to aftermarket seats in the future in order to lower the seating position and drop some weight.

I cant' compare to supercars like Chris Harris can but this car has pretty low seating all things considered. I'm 6'-1 and have it at the lowest setting and I can see perfectly fine.

I find the M2C (USA version with M3/M4 seats) to be adjustable to a low seating position. I'm just over 6'2" and am very sensitive to headroom being tall in torso. With the slicktop M2C, and the seat adjusted all the way down, I have plenty of headroom and can fit just fine with a helmet on with room to spare.
Contrast that to my E90 M3 slicktop...now that I would agree has a "high" seating position. With the seat all the way down, I just barely fit in the car with a helmet on (maybe 1 finger width of clearance). Switching back and forth to the M2C, it's immediately clear how low the seating position is in the M2C. Third data point...I was at the PC last Friday and did some autox runs in an M240i with a sunroof. With the different seat design and the huge imposition the sunroof makes on headroom, I only had just over 1 finger width of room above my head with no helmet on, seat all the way down. No way I could fit in that car with a helmet on.

just got back from driving the car around Bayern and loved the seating position (other than it facing to the left.....) but the whole car just seemed to wrap around and fit just right.

I don't have an M2C, but I do have a set of M4/M2C MSport seats in my OG. I'm 6'2"/188cm and the MSport seats are fine for me on the lowest setting. I did find that the OG seats were a bit higher even on the same lowest setting. I think the difference is a deeper seat pocket on the MSport seats.

Same here. My wife is the main driver of the M2C and would only allow me to order it with a 6MT.

I'm 5'6'' and was concerned about this as well. I did a test drive in a '18 M2 and felt the seating position was fine so I haven't worried about it. My wife had no problem with it either and she's only 5'.
What I didn't like was the tall & long shifter...but that's for a different thread. |

Oh yeah also my girlfriend is 5'1" and was able to drive the car just fine, didn't mention anything about sitting too low and in fact mentioned that she felt like she was sitting higher than my Accord......

Seats definitely feel too high in it's lowest setting to me. I really wished they allowed us to have the manual seats (assuming they sit lower??). I can't quite get everything where I want it regardless of the combination - shame.

does it still feel like it's pointing to the left for you as well? haven't heard any comments about this with the M2C but I assume it's the same as the OG M2
