09 328i CEL Problems

I just bought a 2009 328i and it has CEL codes P1030 and P052b along with missfire codes p0305 and p0306. Would the be the vanos solenoid causing this? Im new to these cars and hoping someone could help me figure out what the issue is.

Have you had an oil change lately ?

Sometimes people forget to put the bottom cage part of the oil filter screw cap on. Which will cause vanos codes, and all kinds of misfires.

I went and checked and it is on there

The o rings on that should be replaced every time as well.

I’d replace them, and clear the codes. If they come back you prob should replace both vanos solenoids.
