Newbie with a leak!

Hello all, just over a month into ownership of a 2014 428i convertible. Very pleased so far except I found a mystery puddle.

Under the car just in front of the OSR wheel there appears to be some kind of tank, which I found leaking water (definitely not an oily product, looked like clean water) onto the ground. Assuming the rad and washer bottle are under the bonnet, I'm stumped. Or is it just water run-off from a rain channel somewhere in the bodywork?

Confused. Thanks for any wisdom.

It will be from the drain tubes from the rain channel at the bottom rear edge of the soft top. To confirm this, put the roof up and pour a jug of water over the area below the rear window. The water should run out from the same place that you observed.

Or possibly condensate from the aircon ?

Can't say I've ever noticed that on mine. All I get is the puddle at the front, which as robbiep says is aircon condensation.

There is a small hole at the front of the OSR wheel arch, so maybe it is some kind of rain channel (we'll overlook the point that the 4 series doesn't have a soft top).

My bad. Apologies. For some reason I had a vision of a white 2er convertible in my head as I was writing the message. Totally forgot that its larger cousin had a folding metal roof for at least the last two generations.
