ARRRGGGGG.......and the list continues to grow. lsturbo I know you will be getting this so do one of those step by step install diy threads when you do. I'm getting too far behind on the mods. Need the new steering wheel, coilovers, now this. Plan on giving mine to the GF in another couple years and getting something else so she is going to have one bad ass ride.

Agree that thing is sweet and I need a cheaper hobby... All of my hobbies are expensive; dirt bikes, street bikes, and cars. The F10 is soon to get a DP and Coilovers. This would make a sweet addition to the cockpit tho.

I have one in my car and got it from Bimmertech. I think I paid like 2 grand for it. BEST MOD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides my Dinan Intake, exhaust, intercoolers, Dinan control arms, Polyurethane sway bar bushings, and SHockwave software. Carbon fiber dash, carbon fiber shifter, CF Nav screen surround, CG Steering wheel center, CF Dipped engine parts, Surround view retrofit, Night vision retrofit, Dinan 20 inch rims, CG Front Spoiler, CF rear Spoiler, Vorsteiner Rear diffuser, LED lights inside, and a few other things... lol

Would this be a direct swap with no further coding etc.. required? Just remove old dash with new digital dash and that's it? Just curious...

It is a direct plug and play. But you need coding. Bimmertech.net can do remotely

Man, that is an impressive mod list, throw up some pics when you get a chance. Inside, outside, under the hood etc.

Bimmertech can do if the cluster is brand new. On a used cluster, there is eeprom work that needs to be completed as well. This typically involves removing the eeprom from the cluster, and wiping out the existing mileage and VIN.

Lol I have been waiting to finish the car before I did so. Just got the shock wave software and dinan arms done two days ago. M5 brakes are finally being painted and will be ready to go. Just hope I have 2 mm of clearance with the 20 inch rims

I thought as long as you had higher mileage than the existing cluster you could roll it forward. But you may be right,

You will get the red tamper dot unless you do the eeprom work.

snj1013 speaks the truth. Two steps: EEPROM work on the cluster itself, and coding in the car. Neither is a show-stopper, and both can be outsourced or done at home, and both are required.

Does anyone know how I go about getting the EEPROM work done? I've googled it and nothing solid came up.
