Insatiable 'Car Greed'
I can't help but wonder if anyone else is suffering from this 'car greed syndrome' too:
Do you find yourself looking at better cars all the time? For example, in my case, I bought my 1st car 3 years ago, upgraded to the 1er 7 months ago, and now I'm already browsing the Porsche forums (No, not like I can afford one yet anyway with Australia's crazy car tax). I find this 'hunger' quite tiring to be honest , though I really do enjoy reading up about cars. Anyone found a 'cure'? |

Not so much better cars but different cars, once you hit a certain level they're all pretty good.
Come talk to me when you stop to test drive your next car on your way home from taking delivery of your current car. I've done that.

All the time! I love my 235 but I'm always on the lookout for something new. I used to work at a car dealership and my used car manager made it way to easy for me to swap rides. I went from Boxster to G37 to 370Z to Nismo 370Z in a year.

I've always had this "problem"
I screwed myself by buying the C6Z because nothing in this price range compares so I have to keep it lol. |

I tend to have an even worse condition since I don't even wanna trade in my car(s). I rather have an additional one,...I guess you can call that PlayStation Gran Tourismo Syndrome.

I am always looking at cars and getting crazy ideas... I switch cars on average every two years. However, it seems like its becoming more like a yearly thing now. smh..

Hits home. I've been doing this for years. I started after having my F80 for only 7 months.
It doesnt help that I've driven way faster and way more capable cars, but they are pure sports cars, and the F80 is a practical daily driver. My current "obsession" is looking for a decent cheap daily. (Maybe Q3) and get a C7 Z06 for a weekend car. But then theres the finances. I've only had the F80 for 14 months and the initial depreciation hit was large. It just doesn't make financial sense to trade this in and take a beating. Want vs Need. Greed is a very good word for it. |

I bought a P1 but traded it in for a Dodge Challenger. Such a beautiful car.
Now I need to find a place to eat. (Let's see who gets this reference ) |

Nope, happy with my cars until they start causing me problems.
The short termist attitude is partly because most people buy on the never never and don't appreciate things any more. If I buy a good car, I won't look elsewhere. Absolutely nothing available or imminent that can do what our M135i does. |
