Curious about JB1
Just got an 08 335i coupe, sport pack, paddles, etc....
I switched from a 07 328 and wow what a difference, the car is incredible and the ipod intigration into the navi is about the greatest thing ive ever seen... next to the cars performance. I love the power, i certainly do not feel like it is lacking but with the unlimited tuning potential of this car, i feel like i need to dabble a bit. i have my eye on the JB1 by Terry, seems like a great deal and a decent power boost without changing the drivability or dynamics of the car. i wanted to get some feed back from those who have added this; does it change the way the car feels (does it burn out the tires), is it just a greater enhancement of the already awesome performance, does it sound different, are you happy you did it? any regrets? Thanks for the feedback, great site and always and awesome resource! |

Well, I have a JB2 so I can't really comment on the performance of the JB1. I will say, however, that the tune doesn't change the dynamics of the car at all for regular driving. (As in there is no real difference) The difference comes in whenever you decide to go from a low speed to a high speed in a relatively low amount of time (i.e. freeway onramps and such).
The Juicebox is well worth the money and Terry's customer service is right up there with the best. *time for Terry to chime in* Happy Driving |

jb1 makes the car act like if should of been from the factory...nice kick in the pants when you want it but daily drivable
same can be said for jb2 but a bigger kick ive gone through both...currently running jb2

no real change in exhaust note. the only audible different is if you listen really well, you can hear the turbos a little better, but not much.

Same as you would have with any aftermarket piggyback....
The JB2 is one of the most reliable tunes out there, and at the best price. Also, keep in mind it is the current record holder for fastest 335i.... (JB2HHR) PM me if you have anymore questions....

If you are thinking about the JB, you should go ahead with the JB2. Both have been proven to be reliable, but you still have to access the ECU with either. If you're going to do that, might as well get the most bang for your buck.
