Question on winter rims
Just picked up the 2016 235ix on the 28th and yesterday installed the winter set up from previous '13 335 Msport. The shows are 225/45-18 and original tires are 225/40 and 245/35-18. Offset on winters make the rubber stick out approx. 3/8 of and inch wider and diameter is approx. 1 inch larger. Does this present any obvious issues? Will speedometer read be inaccurate? I assume the larger diameter will change the gearing but hope it's a minor issue. Any thought are greatly appreciated. Car is X drive.

As long as no rubbing and all 4 tires are same diameter (or within OEM 1.6% difference), you'll be ok. The speedo will be slow by 3.5% so when it reads 60mph, you're going 62.

I tested that before driving by turning sharp both ways in driveway but I should take a light and check inside wheel wells. I assume I'd hear it as I've put about 50 miles on the last two days. Thanks again.

When I've had taller tires that rubbed the liner in the past I could definitely hear it on turns. You're probably in the clear which gives me hope for going with 225/40/19 in the front.
