Prepping to Purchase E46 M3

Hi all long time lurker but currently looking at a 02 E46 M3. I did have a few questions.

For background I am located in California and will be registering it and insuring it here.

1. The car I am looking at has a Dinan intake and a Agency Power exhaust. Owner isn't sure if its a full exhaust or just a section 3. Has anyone here with similar mods had a car successfully pass smog?

2. My current insurance company is Costco however the carrier for them (American Family Insurance) doesn't allow cars 21 years or older to carry full coverage (liability only). What companies do you suggest going with that will insure a older car like the M3?

Thanks in advance everyone

I have a stated value policy with American Collectors for my M3. Haven't had to use it yet, so not sure about the service.

1. My car passed with section 1-3 exhaust. The part that fails you is the lack of cats in the headers, a missing maf, or a tune that deletes something of that nature in the dme.

2. I’ve got state farm and they will fully insure or apply liability as I’d like.

Another vote for agreed value policy. But you need a garage and have car not be your daily.
