HPF e46 M3
Hey fellow German lovers,
For a while now I have been debating whether or not I should sell my e90 lci (335) and purchase an e46 m3. Right now I can get the m3 for around 20K and then I would put stage 2 HPF for another 20K. The car will be a monster producing over 600 whp and thats only stage 2. Anyway, do you guys think I should go with this? Or will it be a stupid move that I will never be able to recover from? - from a financial standpoint Thanks, Alex HAPPY NEW YEAR!! |

Living in Mich, I think you would be better off keeping the xi and modding it.
You can make around 450whp with just a couple thousand in mods... Happy new year to you as well! Quote:

Thought this would be a good op. for a first post. I gotta say that its all about you and what gets you jazzed up. For me it is the e46 M3, it just has that little something you dont get in a non Mcar especially the e9X ones. As for the HPF stage two, we both you will never get close to what you put into it. But I would never do such a huge mod as an investment anyway. If money isnt an option I vote M3. Curious though, why HPF stage two?

If you are gonna do it, get the 2.5 and at least get it rebuilt. Be careful about insanely stiff suspensions too. Doesn't help hold things together. But holy hell will you enjoy that car. Until you have to sell it... |

If you want something that is balls to the walls fast, something to get you going, and a great conversation piece that excites you every time you flex your right foot, go with the HPF. Otherwise tune your 335, exhaust, and get an intercooler, it'll be pushing 430ish+ and it will be much much smoother.

I choose the M any day not because I have one but because I've drove all the new non M car. You will feel the e46M and you will love the driving experience.
