Also, great news! Just got the oil analysis back from Blackstone. The previous owner stated the dealer he purchased the M3 from told him the Rod Bearings had been done recently. The oil analysis sure looks like it supports that! However I do not have documentation that the RB's we're done so I will continue to monitor them with each oil change to be safe. If anyone with extensive knowledge on this can chime in, please feel free to tell me what you think about the results. Thank you!!

Also some great news! Subframe is still crack free, and the light clunk was indeed coming from my diff bushings as suspected! Picture of my diff bushings below.
Will be ordering brand new bushings today or tomorrow for install next week.

However, with any E46 you're going to want to go through and refresh components of you care to have the best possible performance. You don't necessarily HAVE to if you have a solid one that's been well maintained. But as you can see above I've been refreshing some parts, upgrading others and just doing simple maintenance that will help prolong the life of the car. This particular example was very well maintained and super clean. From the day I bought it has been rock solid and reliable. None of the work I've done to it necessarily "HAD" to be done. The oem suspension was perfectly fine (I wanted a sight drop). The shifter was in perfect condition (yet I wanted the ZHP because I like the look and feel). Performed an oil change because I wanted to test the oil (wasn't due for an oil change yet still did it). So as far as a "money pit" goes, it just depends on what you would consider a money pit. Any project car can be called a money pit because you're refreshing parts, modding it, and maintaining it. But as a "money pit" as in like a "lemon", no this not one of those lol.

Just make sure to buy one with a clean carfax history, good maintenance history, healthy oil reports (if you can), and one that hasn't been beat up. These cars are very reliable when the maintenance has been properly done and the car has been well taken care of.

Looking good! Love TiSi, I searched for awhile for one and couldn't find the right one. I like the progress so far - shouldn't this be in the build/picture section?

Is there a way to move/merge this thread over there? Sorry I wasn't sure. In fact I posted the car when I first got it as an introduction then just decided to upload pictures as time went on and maintenance/upgrades were performed. If I can somehow move this thread there I'd be more than happy to

Money shot! Almost the exact same photo I took of mine. Are you running spacers?

Side trims had a tiny bit of built up dirt underneath that I could see when up very closely so I wanted to take them off and completely clean the channel it locks into as well as the underside of the trim. Came out perfect!
I took an up close video to show the final results but don't know how to attach it ☹️

What tire specs are you running? I currently have OEM 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 but I'd like to switch to OEM CSL spec 235/35/19 and 265/30/19. Been searching for CSL fronts but they are impossible to find over the last year. I really nope its NLA and just a COVID thing.
