Rear end moan
On cold starts, making a hard left turn at very low speeds, I get a low-frequency moaning coming from the back of the car. It doesn't do it to the right. After a few minutes of driving and it's warmed up, the sound disappears. My mechanic says it's a worn plate in the diff($$YIKES$$) and will get worse over time. Others say it's probably a worn rear bearing. But the mechanic says that would be more of a ratcheting sound. Anyone experienced this?

Definitely not worn bearings. You'll hear that constantly specially when turning. Not sure about which model years were affected but there was a TSB about differential fluid change to fix a few diffy noise complaints.
