It doesn't surprise me BMW 3 series in the 8th spot - it's more a matter of affordability than preference or aspiration.

That's right. The 3er does cost more than most if not all of the cars in the Top 7.

Just a note- BMW didnt come in eighth. It just happened to be placed in the 8th spot. There was no numbering system as you probably saw.

Also- even if BMW did come in eighth, it doesnt mean that's only because it's more expensive than other cars on the list. 325/C230-C280/IS250/G35 etc all cost roughly the same amount yet the C-class was behind the 3 series.

I think the 3 series was in 8th place. But from the looks of it they rated it depending only on what percent the owners of a certain model were 23 and under. The higher the percent, the higher it was ranked. So in a way, 8th place should be an honor because it means it is a more exclusive car.

It actually is...here in EU. A not too cheap RWD Wankel engined sports 'coupe/saloon' competing in the C/3/A4/IS range. I'm not kidding. It's a better car than 70% of the rest of the list. If you enjoy driving fun

Here in Holland students can't afford such cars. They drive in 10 - 20 year old cars or do have a pedalbike.

How can you afford such cars when you're student (for second you have to notice that the cars are about 50% cheaper in the USA than over here).

I did have a decent job besides my study, but way to little to afford such (new) cars. My first car was a 10 year old BMW after I graduated (the red one below on the left).

You Nerderlanders do have ridiculously high taxes on cars! I am still wondering how come we see so many supercars in the Netherlands.
The average student's car is more a Renault Twingo than a 3er here in Belgium.

BMW is the most expensive on that list, no wonder why they're #8.

best cars for 22-30 year olds would probably be BMW's.

i'm not surprised the tsx came out first. it's a pretty good value for the money. it's just the 4-banger lacks some power and fwd sucks. honda/acura should make a rwd car.

maybe I'm just old fashioned but luxury cars and young drivers (college students) shouldn't be in the same sentence.

Yea u r old fashioned. Most of those are sportier cars with a bit of luxury. Exception of probably the c-class. I personally think it's up to the parents or kids themselves if they can handle more powerful cars (like 335's), but i'm happy w/ my slow 325 since it handles amazing and is safer than most cars.

That's awesome. Did you get it as a gift or did you pay for it?
