APEX Wheels designs and distributes lightweight, motorsport wheels for racers and car enthusiasts, and production is done for us by contract manufacturers overseas. Our knowledge and techniques have been self-taught over the past 15 years, and due to bandwidth limits from growth, we’re struggling to keep products in stock and overcome quality issues. Your superior knowledge, expertise, and focus in this area will allow us to continue to grow quickly.
This is not your typical fulfillment role. You will not be picking and packing orders or assembling products all day long. Sitting in our 3PL warehouse in Rocklin, CA, you will be the on-site point of contact for our Purchasing, Production, and Customer Experience team. To be happy in this position, you should be energized by working on-site. You are instrumental in ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery of orders and processing of returns.

Our Purchasing and Fulfillment department is currently growing, and we need someone who is eager to learn and willing to grow with us. Generally, you'll work an 8-hour day in the range of 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. Hours are flexible within this range to ensure that all shipments are processed in a timely fashion.


Responsibilities include:

• Fulfillment: Handle aging orders in shipstation and track down missing products - this includes inbound and outbound shipments. Oversee the return of damaged products and recycling.
• Quality Management: Ensure that all APEX products are receiving proper inspection and provide product expertise to the 3PL team.
• Continuous Improvement: While you will not be directly responsible for the management of the third-party warehouse team, you will provide direction, input, and feedback on the handling of products and orders. Work under the guidance of our Production/Procurement Manager to resolve ongoing issues in a proactive and timely manner.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Ensure that our third-party warehouse is providing a sufficient level of service and is operating efficiently.
• Collaboration: Act as a liaison between 3PL, Production, Customer Service, Sales, and Purchasing team to provide updates on order status and product issues so that the teams can proactively communicate changes.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in quality control or similar work in a manufacturing, warehousing, or other similarly suited environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proactive approach.
• Proficiency in Gmail, Sheets/Numbers/Excel, or other spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• College degree in Material Management, Manufacturing Technology or General Business is preferred.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in the automotive aftermarket space.

Physical Demands:

• Moderate physical activity requiring the ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for several consecutive hours at a time and lift up to 55lbs to waist height.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, light reflective level, the ability to view and identify differences in product paint finishes, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to tolerate fluctuating ambient temperatures associated with working in a warehouse.
• Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels in a controlled environment.
