Aside from that, Mercedes is more in need of Newey atm than Ferrari. If Newey wanted more of a challenge, Mercedes would be more of a challenge instead of Ferrari.

Regardless of where this ends up, it would be interesting to see how Red Bull is going forward. Do they really have their stuff together as Horner keeps indicating. Is their whole thing with Ford actually going to work or will they learn in a few years like every other team and player has learned in many other sports, including F1. No one stay son top forever.
i've just had another thought, does Adrian want to jump from the pan into the fire, with Italian politics

i am guessing this is what's going to happen:

Adrian tells Ferrari - I will join you but you I must have complete control of the car design, if not, i won't join

And if Adrian doesn't join Ferrari, i am picking he'd retire from F1 (doesn't stop him drawing cars for other people but outside of F1)

I’ve heard this more and more as well, that he was rather hands off and that Wache, Balbo and team are actually the by and large genius behind the RB18/19/20.

This is a bit like Ross Brawn setting up the right structure and people to get Mercedes to what it was when Hamilton joined. He wasn’t there when they won the first championship but was part of the ideas to create the base car and set the direction.

Suspect that’s where Newey plays, less on much of the detail anymore.

Can’t see him going to AM, doesn’t fit him, stroll style being a big factor.

Finding and following great management more important than simply finding a great job. Wish I had learned that earlier in life.

ah i see.

so RBR Constructors win, and Drivers 1st and 2nd secured for 2024 and 2025.

Adrian's departure wouldn't make the other teams happy lol.

All I know is that this makes me excited for the future. Red Bull has earned their flowers but this changes the landscape and makes 2026 very intriguing regardless of where he goes.

RBR's Horner is positive what he's doing and with the Ford tie up I'm sure the entry Ford PH will be no slouch out of the box.

I sure hope Ford puts out a sweet PU. I’m not a big Ford fan but we don’t need a second American $hitshow in F1.

Might help if Ford would give us some of the hot hatches you guys get.

Sucks bro, hot hatch is non-existent here. I was on 2 year wait list for a Golf R once before I gave up.

The Ford PU will fail in F1 with lack of power and reliability .

Once MAX is sure of it ,then MAX is gone .

Horner : Everything goes according plan ...

That's BS !

I'll say it again : Never split a winning combination !
Breaking up with Honda is a Red Bull suicide mission...
