If we move away from stock vs stock and evaluate on pricing then it works out like this. Drop springs and an adjustable front sway bar can be bought and installed for $1k or less and drastically closes the gap in handling between the two cars. This also minimally effects street comfort. The wind buffeting issue has aftermarket solutions that greatly reduce the effect for under $50. So new price difference with greatly reduced buffeting and very comparable handling is 4-5k used and about 6k new. Last edited by strohw; 03-15-2021 at 11:18 AM.. |

So there has been a number of 2021 owners reporting oil burning issues.

Ouch. That's sucks. Having two cars in the past dealing with oil consumption it's the most nerve racking experience. I went through this with Subaru and Audi. It's one of the reasons I lease most of my cars now. I just want to drive it and unload it in three years for a new one. I remember people claiming that that's just how new cars are now.
Bullshit. Two F80's with heavy track use and not a single oil consumption problem. WTF is going on here?

Interesting! I know that the B58 in my 18 340i never burned any oil so this seems odd.

So my cousin needed help clearing a fault on his Supra today (airbag warning from when he took out his seats during some modding), and it turns out BMW ISTA will connect, read, and operate the car, so you don't absolutely require the Toyota version of ISTA that BMW made to work with the new A90/J29.

Just for fun I looked up 2021 Supra's again, I keep getting drawn back to them.
It's hilarious how many dealers are asking as much $10k over MSRP, when you can find them all over the country for $4-6k under. Are people really this stupid/lazy they would pay $10k over, vs a plane ticket and a drive home? |

That's not what is going on there. All one has to do is look at the cluster. As soon as the car goes over 20km/h with the triggering problem they created present, the result is exactly what it should be. Cant fix stupid. |

Tyre pressures? At the end they talk about how other people have experienced the same thing with the TPMS working correctly (of course that might be heresy)

While having my FJ60 serviced I spent some quality time in a 2021 Supra. As much as I wanted to love it, I could not get over its appearance. And this is coming from a Toyota and BMW fan boy. In theory the Supra is my perfect car. In reality it looks forced and contrived. The cockpit also made my 135i feel spacious and don't get me started on the visibility. I would go M2 all day, every day.

Also no manual in Supra. I mentioned this in another Supra vs M2 post, but if the car had a manual, it would def eat into M2 sales. But in terms of usability, M2 def wins out. Looks are subjective, but I can see lots of people liking the Supra aesthetic. |

I'm seeing a lot of dealers trying to sell used Supras over msrp. This is the worst I found. https://www.martinautomart.com/vdp/1...Green-KY-42104 |
