E46 M3 - What would you pay?

Hey everyone...I'm a bit stuck between buying a used (2004-2006) E46 M3 or a CPO (2007-2008) 335i....

I've test drove an E46 M3 and the driver feedback was fantastic...I've also driven a 335i and the tq was very exciting...

Im not trying to debate which one and why...

But if you were to buy a used E46 M3...What would be the selling points for you with regards to the following:

Model Years - ?
Max Mileage - ?
Max Price - ?

That you would be willing to pay before you'd decide on simply getting a CPO 335i?

Thanks a ton for your responses...

Im just curious...I would love a ZCP model, but dont they all come in SMG?

I'm positive I'd like to stay away from SMG because of potential costly issues if it fails on me....

Thanks
