2002 E46 M3: Steel Grey on Black - SMG
As the title states, 2002 Steel Grey SMG. 167,855k miles. Two of the big 3 have been done. The rod bearings were replaced once under warranty, and then again with ACL bearings at 164k. The subframe was reinforced at 157k with Redish Motorsport plates. The VANOS hasn't been done but both tabs were found intact during a recent valve cover gasket job, if that gives any peace of mind. The SMG unit/mechanism and cooling system were replaced near the end of its warranty. New tie rods, front control arms, motor mounts, CSB, guibo fender liners/undercarriage tray, and a whole lot of other parts replaced in the last 2 years. Quite frankly, it has been very well maintained its entire life (I can provide maintenance records, and a plethora of paperwork). A majority of the rubber components have been replaced. The only modifications are: VMR CSL style 18” wheels. Status Gruppe coilovers, end links, camber plates, and SCZA muffler. AKG trans mounts, RTAB’s, and FCAB’s. The strut towers are reinforced with Rogue Engineering plates up front, and Bimmerworld in the rear. The car was recently ceramic coated + professionally detailed. It’s been kept in storage for the majority of its ownership under me. The interior is a 6/10, as it could use some plastic pieces to make it mint. There are two very small dents in the right rear of the car that I plan on removing from my PDR guy eventually! I don't drive it when it's extremely hot out, so the AC does need to be recharged if that is the plan. |
