HUD Rattle
Has anyone had problems with their HUD unit in the dash rattling on bumpier roads?

Next time you hear it, if you can, reach forward and press doen on your HUD and see if it stops. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like a common problem.

I can’t say with 100% confidence that it is the HUD that is rattling, but I can say with certainty that pressing down on the HUD on the side closest to the steering wheel stops the sound. Also the sound will resume as soon as I take my hand off given the road is still bumpy.

I wonder how the HUD housing is attached to the Dash. Is it fitted with prongs like the speaker cover? You could try prying it up with a trim tool on one side and stick some felt tape and see if that absorbs the vibration.
I may try it. |

Yeah, I thought about that but am just a little nervous about mis-aligning the actually HUD in doing so. Good luck to you if you end up doing so and also let me know how it goes.
