Lot of hate here. I don't think it's bad. If I needed the space or something a little larger, I'd consider the M35i version. The average car goes for like $48K now, so I don't think pricing is terrible.

I do wish they would have kept the roundels on the rear pillar. Always thought that was a cool touch on the previous version.

??? I’m not sure what your point is. The Venue starting MSRP is less than half the ‘24 X2. And, yes, I’m very aware Kia also offers many SUVs.

With the new sloping roofline there’s no place for the roundels.

It's too bad we're not in the 2010s when this would get a B58 like the X1 got an N54.

Well with a starting price north of 40k, I don't think it's considered entry level anymore is it?

They don't look great but they actually fit in when you consider the shapes of the Drls

I wouldn't say X2 sold a lot in Nort America according to their own released sales, looks like they are rarer here than full on M cars : I have seen 1 X2 in the past year in central Jersey compared to having seen more of any M model.

It's not good looking, but it's not horrendous.

That's about the best compliment you can give a car in the current BMW lineup.

Except the E84 X1 has a longitudinally mounted motor and the X2 has a transversely mounted motor. But, I guess if this was a 2010 X2 it too would be RWD with a longitudinal motor.

It's not my cup of tea. My next SUV for my gal will not be new, so my opinion matters none. I am considering an X3 for her.

NOW I see it- the back half of this car, in profile, looks like a SAAB. the shape of the rear window against the slope of the hatch is what does it.

No, it doesn’t look great. The X1 looks much better. From every angle.

Would love to see a proper X2M with the B58 I6 turbo engine.
The S58 would be cool but I think that’s a big stretch. The M2 and M4 coexist with same engine. But I don’t think bmw would do this with between the X1/2/3/4.
An M tuned B58 would be a great compromise-ish. Especially since us Yanks cannot get the M3 touring.
