vorsteiner vented hood carwash problems?

i'm considering geting the vented hood from vorsteiner for my 05 m3. anyone have experience with it? any problems when it was washed? water in engine bay? anything?! please assisttttttt

Yeah, water will get in the engine bay as it will when it rains. I used to have one. I carried a roll of duct tape with me and placed a strip under each vent opening (perfect size) and tore it to fit length wise. Mine was clear coated on the underside as well which made it easy. I know this may sound silly to some but it works.
