Love it, though I am a little biased when it comes to Japanese cars.

Would love to see them make something fun like the 335i/340i but that's never been Lexus forte I suppose.

I want to like Lexus... I really do. I actually think the Toyotas are getting much nicer, same with Hondas... but Lexuses are just some of the ugliest luxury cars on the road. The exterior is ugly IMO but the interior is even worse. This is one of the worst interiors they have come out with. Very ugly, very cheap looking.

Exterior refresh is weak; I think it looks significantly worse than the outgoing model.
Interior looks better.
Same engine is a disappointment; our 200t was just anemic.

So disappointed in this. I'm currently driving my second IS 350 F Sport. The first was a 2011 and it was twice the car the current is. I've been a Lexus fan for years but this is disappointing. I like my current car, I loved the 2011. I do like the redesign of the side view mirrors on the Camry F Sport everything else is just a disappointment. My opinion, scrap the 200, 300 and 350 variants and bring back the IS-F!!! Drop the body back to where it was size-wise in the Gen2's, stop marketing to soccer moms and bring back the 416 hp 5.0 V8.

That's how Toyota maintains their reputation for reliability. If you never upgrade your drivetrains you don't have to worry about teething issues from adopting new tech. After initially hating the big Lexus grilles they have grown on me as I don't think these are bad looking but the car itself is looking a little dated inside and out. It's just a lot of money for a car that will get dusted on the street by a lot of SUV's.

I guess i'm in the minority - I think it's a great looking interior. The body is nice, but the front end needs to be taken down a peg. Of course same goes with the new BMW grills. I'm not sure why these folks think that ridiculous "brand identifying" grills are a good thing. Still like it though, for what it is.

The problem with the interior is that it's basically the same as the 2014 model...better really only because of the tech display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto...but even worse because they covered the mostly carryover hvac control area (most touched) with gloss black!! Yuck!

I don't mind the exterior design one bit especially as a former 2IS and 3IS owner, it's a nice evolution. But the engines and transmissions Wtf.

Dull and boring styling, to Fast and Furious type styling....yuck

The Germans do so much better in terms of building designs that are everlasting and iconic...look at the E36 M3 or even the E30 M3, still to this day the box fenders, wow! Still looks aggro..

Lexus reminds me of what Cadillac was in the 90s: selling a lot of cars, but their products are stale and uncompetitive relative to the best in segment, and the overall brand popularity is stagnant/declining.

Lexus' volume comes from the RX, NX, and ES. None of these three are particularly impressive vehicles relative to what Germany is churning out, but in light of their lower cost and proven reliability people buy them regardless.

The rest of Lexus' portfolio is irrelevant in their respective segments. The new LS and LC are great, but both are in rapidly declining segments. The previous LS lived on far too long (12 years?) and underwent 2 refreshes as well. By the time the fully redesigned 4-IS comes out in 3-4 yrs, it will suffer the same fate as the new LS.

Lexus suffers what Toyota suffers albeit in a much much higher and far more demanding price category... doesn't fly here.

Reused old engines, trannies, odd styling and virtually nothing exciting in the lineup makes it a dud on arrival. Your highlighted comment is pretty much it.. which is the same as the Toyota crowd.

Toyota has the means and resources to do just about anything... a real Supra as an example... but they run on higher margins and spend $5 a year on R&D while selling to an unsuspecting crowd that believes in ancient tech and a false premise of reliability (even when they are no longer remotely towards the top on the metric).

Tacoma, 4runner are ancient jokes at best... Tundra same story.

Corolla, Camry and Avalon are cheap FWD cars that have a colorful infotainment system but that and their reliability is good enough for most people...

Not one modern turbo engine, gearbox or drivetrain system in the entire lineup...

I feel Toyota peaked when they created the Prius and dominated the market... soon after they took a massive dump...

How do you go from being the car company that builds the first mainstream hybrid, a legendary sports car and have a top notch luxury car brand to a company that outsources sports car, drops any serious hybrid / electric development, sells 15 year old tech in most of its cars and has the worst dealership experience in the industry. I mean you have to really hate cars to buy a Toyota in my opinion.
