2001 E46 M3 Street Legal Track Car (Carbon Black)
This is a no expense spared, street legal, turn-key track car build that is extremely fast and fun to drive. It has approximately 131k miles on it right now with less than 1k miles on the engine since it was rebuilt. Every nut and bolt on this car has been turned at some point, and anything that could be upgraded or refreshed for better on-track performance has been done including bushings, mounts, suspension arms, etc. Highlights include JRZ suspension, Z3 quick ratio steering rack, and AP Racing brakes front and rear. The interior features a custom TIG welded half-cage tied into the rear subframe mounts and shock towers. Momo Mod 88 wheel attached via Rogue QR to full OEM dash. Recaro Profi SPG seats are mounted via VAC mounts with Schroth racing harnesses. A/C and radio are deleted for weight, while the euro center console and carpet with custom alcantara block off panels keep things looking classy. The new owner can go a couple different directions with this car. 1. Leave it as-is for a perfect track day build. 2. Add A/C and quieter muffler for a more streetable ride. 3. Or convert it to a competitive race car (remove the interior, add front hoop to the cage, and nets/fire system). Driver side Recaro SPG seat and Schroth Flexi harness are brand new. The car has the full suite of aero goodies from Flossman and N15 Design and produces a good amount of downforce with minimal drag. This includes a full carbon trunk lid with bracing for the wing and the full carbon front splitter with aero undertray. The aero and mechanical balance are superb. Wheels are 18x10 HRE R43 (recently refinished) with Hankook RS4s (265-35-18). Drivetrain includes an RTD V1 race shifter mated to the stock transmission via a Clutchmasters FX725 Twin Disc clutch. Rear end is a custom Blanton LSD with 4.1 motorsport gearing. The engine itself has been left unmodified for best reliability. Everything from the airbox to the exhaust port has been left stock aside from a tune, IAT relocation, and MAF delete, and a Bimmerworld fuel starvation kit keeps things safe in the corners. Custom high flow cats feed a Bimmerworld 3.5 single exit exhaust. Hood venting and Fluidyne Radiator mean no overheating on track ever - even on 100F days. No expense has been spared mechanically. Each mod has been meticulously selected and vetted for quality, durability, and ease of maintenance; both by myself and the previous owner. High quality OE or OEM parts are used throughout. This car is dead nuts reliable. This car did a 1:54 at Buttonwillow 13CW in October 2018 on Pirelli DH Scrubs and the previous owner claims the car could go under 1:50 on a cool day. 2:30 flat at Road America on 10 day old Maxxis RC-1s. 2:01 at High Plains Raceway in Denver, CO. I would estimate the car weighs around 2900 as it sits, but havent verified. Has fresh fluids, brake pads and tires, and is turn-key ready to go! Asking $32k.
