Nope, wasn't me. I was in the morning crew and one of the first to get a "ride". No where near important enough customer to get a drive :smile:

Plus you'd have to be a bit of a fair idiot to be driving so hard in someone else's car.....my theory is, if you can't afford to do it in your own car, you probably can't afford to do it in someone else's!

Yes the Le Mans blue car wld 007 is sold - to me! I pick it up on Saturday but must say I'm not too thrilled to hear it was driven hard. Part of the deal was it would be coddled.

congratulations. that's a nice car. they were supposed to be test rides anyway not test drives. even if anyone was to blame it wouldn't be someone who was attending the launch as a potential customer.

Hope your right. I will certainly make a point of going over the car before handing over the cheque. I was at the event and was assured it would be looked after.

i'd suggest getting them to clean the interior very nicely since it was on the grass and the grass was damp. i opened it without any supervision, but i promise i was very gentle!

The guy driving didn't corner hard, or brake particularly hard. Just gave it a bit out of the roundabouts and up the hills. We never went over 100, but I'm pretty sure he got to 5-6k revs when do a few little harder charges.

Main thing I'd be worried about is so many people getting in and out (look for scuff marks) and the fact that when driving up on to the grass each time, the car was getting VERY close to scrapping the bottom. The guy even commented "look the car even goes 4WDing"...... Humourous to me at the time, but not if it was my car.

That said if you got a discount for it being a demo, hopefully the discount evens things out. If no discount, then be thorough with your checks!!!!

That said, you'll love the car

Thanks. The idea of a discount on a car that is now sold out till 2009. Hmmmm. Still, I did do a good trade. And yes I will check for scuff marks!
