If you're staying NA and have the budget, fork out for the CSL Air Intakes.
The price may make you bend over but the sound it makes is ridiculous. It was about $6000aud (no including MAP, DME, labour) about 3 years ago when I had my E46 M3 in Australia. You do need to go from MAF to MAP. Reprogramme your DME. Decided not to go ahead as I have no faith in my mechanics. HP gain is minimum at best or doesn't translate to laptimes but the music it makes.... |

Had the car out on the track(the Ridge) for a 2 day initiation on saturday and sunday. Car performed admirably. my lap times were 1-2 seconds faster than the last time i had my e90 there which i would say is a success for a first time out. Temps by the end of the second day were high 90s which is unusual for us and a good test for the car. brakes were okay and oil temp stayed to a peak of 240ish which is good. i played some with the msc but ended up settling back to where it started as the best setting. car really moves thru some of the twisty sections. actually pulling away from a gtr in a couple sections of the track. I am obviously down on power on the straight from before but exit at higher speed which helps negate some of that. Had a great time even though i sweated my ass off. Love the car. felt great and very capable.

Thank you. Turned out great. Wheels are apex ec-7 18x10 et 25. Tires are nt01s 273-35-18. Had to roll both front and rear fenders to clear as well as minimum of -3.5 front camber. Still have front and rear wheel liner rub up front at close to full lock either way. No rubbing on compression either front or rear. Ride height got set up from where it was to give better travel but still think it sits pretty well.

yes. i was told they were improper offset but made them work anyway and very happy i did. works great.

18x10 et25s barely fit...but they will with some aggressive fender rolling and extra neg camber up front.
Glad to see you back on the track! The E46 is a much different experience vs the E9X. Especially when an E46 starts 300lbs lighter.

Still didn't end up as light as I would like. Guess cage added more than I had hoped. Spring rate was 700-800, someone had asked before. Stiff but not terrible on the street.
