I'll definitely be tinting mine. Will speak to my dealer at tomorrow's launch. I wouldn't mind a shade darker than darkest legal if they'll let me get away with it. Coupled with black interior, should really make the windows look dark.

That is just stunning! Can't quite tell what you interior colour combo is. Is that beige and grey poplar you have there?
I was thinking of getting performance wheels (269s), but now I think I'll stick to the standard 261Ms. They look fantastic!

hey d3syd...i was thinking the same thing for my LMB baby wrt the performance wheels. I mocked a photoshop up of them in the wheels and tires thread but thought they looked too dark...think there may have been some lighting issues but i really do like the 261Ms

it's half time in the footy and i'm still on this thread. I'm glad it's not just not me that likes the colour, the interior is alaska grey with the grey poplar. Took my wife for a run tonight, seems to be pulling like mad in 3rd from 2-4K rpm. Had to steady up as wife was starting to get sick, she said it felt like a plane taking off. I'm happy.

swift135 : do you experience any throttle lag (not turbo lag) ? Drove a 335 some months back and it had an annoying throttle lag issue.

I'm breaking it in by keeping mainly in 2nd and 3rd for most driving, revving to 4-4.5k and letting it run down while in that gear, using the engine to do most of the braking. I give it a squirt now and again at WOT in 4th up to 4k rpm. even though you would think that would suck for fuel usage it is averaging 10.4l/100km so far since pick-up. You can feel the engine is tight, my V8 X5 took about 11000km before it really loosened up.

Waaay cool to see you guys getting your cars. Reminds me of myself froma couple of months ago. The car is looking very good, and love the tint. Funny as all hell that you can watch the car on the security cam from your desk.
Btw, you can change the "Drives:" section in your profile now. |

swift another question : when you insert a thumb drive, does it scan it every time you start the car? I'm planning on putting my whole music collection on a 16Gig thumb drive and just worried its going to take a couple of minutes to scan the USB drive everytime i start the car...

Can't speak for thumb drive, but iphone works well as bluetooth connection, as well as plugging in to USB/Aux and working as iPod.
Phone book, playlists etc all seem to work well.
