You fools wear shoes? I prefer to be barefoot. Not only does it enhance my connection to the car, I can pick up dropped Cheetohs with my toes while keeping my eyes on the road

but... you have a DCT. Car does it all for you, you can even left foot brake all the time. Who cares about shoes...
Jokes aside, it's all preference really, whatever feels comfortable to me, and most comfortable when heel-toeing is my go to when driving. But I'll drive barefoot, or flip flops in the current daily for short trips, say car wash, etc. Last edited by cookiesowns; 11-05-2016 at 02:10 PM.. |

Once I took a ride in a guy's car. After I got on the passenger side, he took his right shoe and sock off, and explained that way he could most accurately modulate the gas pedal to maximize gas mileage. I was glad that it was a short ride.

I'd never buy shoes specifically for driving...with that said I like to drive in a thin soled minimalist running shoe like the inov8 bare xf.

... as in Marquez and Lorenzo, sorry that's MotoGP, you mean Torres and Zores?? I think they use Alpinestars and Sidi respectively.

Flip flops, no gloves, shorts, t-shirt and an unfastened helmet is the go to safety kit if your bike has more than 100bhp round here. In the UK mention "Spanish riding" to a biker and they know what you mean. Marquez is still the best PB |
