Carbon Ceramic Brakes

Hello guys. I have an M3 E46 CSL and i have it only for track use. I want to put the GT3 RS'S carbon ceramic brakes and calipers in the front and rear... Would you like to tell me your opinions?

Are Porsche brakes even compatible with the M3?

Stop tech actually makes a carbon ceramic brakes specially for the E46 M3. Not too sure on the price but think its around 10-15k

Yes you're right. I searched and found about Stop tech but it is come out only at a specific diameter and not more than 355mm front and rear.... And the price is about 12,000 euros... I will probably go for the 997 GT3 RS because it is larger in diameter 380mm front 6piston - 355mm 4piston rear..

But the Porsche guys who track a lot almost all switch to iron rotors due to cost.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

This is the least. It is important in these cases the performance rather than price. I do not disagree with you just the car is purely for track day and not on the road ..

Eventually we chose the Brembo GT kit wich includes steel brake discs. I tried ceramics in another CSL and i don't like it.. I don't know why but were long in warm. The front disc's diameter is 370mm 6piston caliper and the rear disc's diameter is 355mm 4 piston caliper...

Enjoy...!

Is this the same CSL that set the 'Ring lap record - the LOADED car (hence your username, I guess lol)? I've been following that car for a while and still watch it's record setting run on youtube once in a while. Definitely want to see what's next for it.

Wise choice. No fade, better durability and much, much cheaper.

Actually no.. I'm the second Loaded car. The first one is now repaint in Jade Lime Green than the matte black which was before.. It's getting ready for the European Time Attack Series....

Any update on the Brembo kit? I got hold of the CSL in the meantime and currently I am deciding which brake solution to go for.....since the OEM is simply crap!
