Anyone else buy the CSL wheels in the m3forum group buy?

Trying to contact leighton (dr m3an m3) about the CSLs that I purchased in the group buy a few months back.

He hasn't responded in 3 weeks. Anyone else here order them from him?

I haven't heard from him either. I think he may be a medical professional. I created a thread on FB some time ago -

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1456...ment&ref=notif

I have not heard from him in weeks.

Are the CSLs different than OEM e46 ZCP wheels? Aren't the ZCPs still available as OEM or was this same wheel but better price with the group buy?

Same thing here, I have not heard back since the last update. Email dated 6/16 stating they were expected to ship from Germany on 6/24. I have sent 2 replies to that email (groupbuyingpower@outlook.com), I also sent an email to the email that is linked to his paypal (where I made the payment, leightonchachi@hotmail.com) and have had no response there either. Turner Motorsport is showing the CSL wheels are on order and expected to be in stock by 8/31/20. If I recall reading something about these being sourced through Turner, I'm wondering if there is someone who we could contact there, or if their ETA would be similar to ours. I can be reached at adammilnes@gmail.com, as I'm not on this forum very often. Fingers crossed we all see our wheels sometime soon!!

The CSL fronts are 0.5" wider. Otherwise they're identical.

Oh boy, I hope you guys get a response and your wheels. I've purchased thousands of dollars' worth of E46 parts from his group buys and he was extremely communicative throughout. But after m3forum got nuked from orbit i can't figure out where any of their regulars went.

Would be wild if he took the money and ran. He always seemed like a stand up guy though.

Guys I received an email from turner themselves and Leighton as well..

See below from turner on 7/21/20

Thank you for reaching out to us. From my understanding Leighton has been
very sick the last few weeks. I haven't heard much from him either. I was
also on vacation so there might be a delay in updates from that as well.

Right now we are waiting on BMW, last known ETA was June 26th, but I still
don't show them in stock in Germany nor has the ETA been updated. I have
reached out to our European supplier to see if they can get an update from
BMW of Germany.

What's the go to tire size for the CSL set up? Do people upsize them a tad or stick with the factory sizing?

I use 235/35/19 up front and 255/35/19 In the back but I am thinking of a wider tire In the rears to protect the rims if we ever get them

I have a brand new set of Michelin PS4'S sitting in the garage waiting for these rims. Sizes are 235/35/19 fronts, 265/30/19 rear. Cant wait to try this tire on the street and track. Hope these wheels come sometime soon...

Does anyone have any updates on this? Looks like Turner keeps pushing the dates out, and I still have not heard back from Leighton either. Wondering if this deal will ever happen...

In case anyone didn't get this message, Turner finally responded. Hope this works out for everyone they way they want it to!

Hello All,

I wanted to reach out to everyone from the group buy. I am sorry it has taken me this long but I wanted to make sure I had confirmation on the rear wheels and other options.

I would like to start by saying thank you to you all. Thank you for the patience and understanding through these crazy times. Not ideal by any means, I know, but I really do appreciate it.

We have secured the rear wheels and they should be here in the 3-4 weeks as long as customs clears them quickly. The fronts have not been marked NLA by BMW, so we will continue to wait for 8.5” fronts to be released. I wanted to give people options that would get you a set of wheels sooner.

Option 1 – ZCP Fronts and ZCP/CSL rears. I can secure the fronts for a similar cost and have them ready to ship in 30-45 days. I have had a few people reach out to me saying they would take this option so I wanted to offer it to all.

Option 2 – Full set of rear wheels. Another option people have reached out to me about. The rears are more money but we are willing to make a full set of rears for what was paid to Leighton.

Option 3 – Ship the rear wheels once they arrive and then wait to see when BMW releases the fronts.

Now I know some people want to be refunded, in the future if we partake in a group buy again we will be the ones to facilitate it start to finish, with that being said we don’t have a way to directly refund you as Leighton was the one that paid each order. I do not feel comfortable refunding orders, we’d be hoping he magically appears again and is willing to refund people what they paid…

Before anyone replies upset at the options above, please understand we had no way of knowing this would happen, we are simply trying to make the best of the situation at hand. This was poorly handled from a communication stand point so I want to make sure everyone on this email has my contact info.

Any questions please call me at the number below or email me.

what a POS
Ah I'm so sorry to hear this. I actually contacted Paypal last week looking to dispute my payment too (before Turner reached out to me). Paypal was NOT helpful at all, and seemed to have zero interest in investigating what could be a malicious transaction and/or fraudulent. I wish you the best of luck. I have not heard any updates on what happened to Leighton or why he fell off the face of the earth...
