E46 vs E36 M3
Hello all! My Timehop found these pics from 2008, when my father first picked up his 2006 E46 M3. It was certified with 6k miles on it. I had pulled his 1995 E36 M3 next to it and took some comparison pics.
Just like the E46, he bought his E36 certified in 1996 with about 5k miles on it. He was going to keep it and let my 20 yr old brother drive it...but after the first weekend he had it he got pulled over twice including one big speeding ticket. So in July 2008 he sold it with 143k miles on it. He still has the E46, with about 93k miles. |

Very cool pics.
Bummer for your brother it's hard to drive spiritedly in NJ. The cops there are numerous and quick to write speeding tickets. |

When people ask how it compares to my 340 track pack or my dads M3, I say that the Mustang is like eating steak with a hammer. A big fucking hammer. While the Bimmers are like eating Steak with a surgical knife. Both are fun in their own way. |

He actually didn't like it at first....too flamboyant for him. He likes to fly under the radar. But he has since grown to love it.
When he got in 2008, it was certified, and had been on the lot for like 7 months and the dealership was looking to get rid of it. I think he offered 41k for it and they accepted his bid right away. |
