How Many Solar Panels Are Needed To Charge A Tesla?
03/24/2024 Many Tesla owners install a home charging station, which might cost more than they think, to keep their vehicles charged and ready to go every morning. Most residential solar panels have a power output rating of 250 watts, but there are larger ones with a rating of up to 400 watts of power. However, if you install 400-watt panels instead, you would only need seven. Of course, these equations have many variables because even one alteration changes everything. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/techn...2ebfecce&ei=10 400 Watt solar panel size 79″ X 39″ X 7 panels or 21,567 sq inches or 149.77 Sq Feet of 400 watt solar panel to charge your Tesla. Assuming: The sunlight intensity is 1000 W/m² Wind velocity of 1 m/s Cell temperature 25 degree Celsius The air mass index is 1.5 The Right tilt of the solar panel is given based on the latitude of the location. You can drive for free if you put panels on half your roof. |

That's exactly why anyone would buy one - to show off. Unfortunately, that thing looks retarded, and it's not impressing most people.

Interesting Brit. That EV charging line! That would suck. I suppose the copper thieves cause them to bunch up. Not being able to unplug from a charger that is burning would suck. You wonder what kind of amp shenanigans it was sending the battery.

This picture is awesome. Here you see the "automotive landscape" circa 2024.
In the front you have a cool matte blue BMW, with it's vents, carbon and menacing headlight LED arrangement. Next to it sits the brutalist minimalist stainless steel playstation 1-esque EV, a stark contrast to the aerodynamic BMW next to it. In the back you have a run of the mill Tacoma, favored by many as cheap reliable transportation. Flanking the back you have a fleet van, a sad blue crossover and the great grandfather of the Tesla - A prius. I look forward to seeing what the world looks like in 2034. I think the cybertruck looks cool.

Software startup Recurrent helps used EV buyers know how much life is left in a vehicle
Mon, Mar 25 2024 Recurrent, a Seattle-based startup, aims to do for electric vehicle batteries what odometers do for fuel-powered cars: show the wear and tear on the battery and its future value. Recurrent uses no hardware, just the software that runs on thousands of electric vehicles daily. It can analyze a car over and over again, normalizing things like weather, driving and charging style in order to compare two similar vehicles and show which has a stronger battery, and consequently a higher value. EV owners can connect to Recurrent via methods like OnStar or a Tesla account. Dealerships can also use Recurrent to show comparisons to buyers, potentially driving up the sales price for cars with stronger batteries. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/25/this...%20a%20vehicle CarFax for EV's |
