Keep original parts or sell?
Hey guys - I received a good tip to solicit feedback from E46 M3 owners. I've owned an M2C for 2.5yrs and love it. Size, power, analog feel/engagement, etc. I don't see myself ever letting go of this car.
However I'm about to head down the aftermarket path in a big way. Adding new wheels, brakes, coilovers, axle back exhaust and short shift kit. Do I hold onto the original parts or sell them? Surely, only the 2nh brakes and wheels bring material value($) but I am perplexed as to whether I should let any or all of these parts go? Here's a link to our discussion on the M2C board. Thank you for feedback and experience! |

Keep for sure if budget allows. If I had a nickel for every time I said " I'll never ever sell this car", I'd have a lot of nickels ! For resale it's always a good idea to be able to return car to stock if needed. Might be able to find a buyer that wants all the mods but it's smart to leave your options open.

Agreed with above. Seen too many craigslist/youtube posts of how folks thought their car was their forever car and then write some sentimental listing regarding life events, new baby, marriage, etc... that makes them sell. lol
