Side vents are tacky and rear lights are boring. Overall, it does look quite good. Not much I would change about it!

Is this the size of the MDX or RDX?

do cadillac's use exclusive platforms or do they share across many models like typical domestic cars? just curious.

As of now the only shared platform is the Escalade's GMT-900 platform that is used on the Tahoe and Suburban. Though it will be moving to the FWD( ) Lambda platform in the next generation. Sigma and Sigma II are Cadillac exclusives. The platform this new FWD( ) SRX is on the TE platform( it is a mix of Epsilon II and Theta I/II). The only vehicles planned to be on the TE platform is the SRX and the Saab 9-4x. Cadillac's flagship( called the DTZ and would have been the STS/DTS's replacement) has been rumored to have been killed, but it would have been on the Zeta platform along with the Camaro, G8, and Lucerne replacement( is also dead as well since it would have been built along side the DTZ).

This is the best looking Caddie, still something I wouldn't want myself but I can see how others might find it appealing.

I still think the CTS is the one Caddy model that's been done properly. It's the only model that I think looks complete.

This model is alright looking. It has some glaring flaws that need to be fixed though. The fender vents and the line that leads to the tail from them is all wrong. The vents could do without the silver plate, and the whole vent itself could be raised/stretched so that the character line doesn't droop so much. It makes the car look stubby. I do like how it flows into the major front bumper lines though. Still, I'd like to see a chop that fixes this (hks, could you do a similar chop to that of the CLS's character line you did a while back?).

The headlights still can't pull off what the previous-gen CTS failed at too: that weird kink in the corner.

The grille combo looks awkward; I think it's a bit too simple, and the roof racks kill the roofline.

Fix the character line/fender vents, the headlights, improve the grille, and nix the roof racks and I think there's potential.

Made all of the changes except the grille. I agree on everything you said there! What do you think is wrong with the grille? I can try edit it if you give pointers
