e46 m3 with track parts
Picked this car up almost a year ago with the intent of making a track car, but havent had the time to work on it. Motor has some ticking, and may need a rebuild or swap. Interior is a little rough, but would make a great track project. Exterior is in pretty good shape for mileage. Would like to sell everything together. Battery is dead currently but does run and drive. Pictures of the car attached, please read full description of items so you know what is included with the car. All parts still in the boxes and not installed, except for wheels. 10,000 or best offer. 2002 e46 m3, carbon black clean title in hand 140,xxx miles, 6 speed manual car runs and drives, currently has a dead battery though. new CSL front bumper from turner motorsport, already painted carbon black KW V2 coilovers Ground control camber plates Stoptech slotted rotors front and rear Hawk track pads front and rear Stoptech steel brake lines bimmerworld seat mounts, passenger and driver (work with any racing seat really) momo hub limited edition speed hunters renown steering wheel, alcantara f80 m3 18 inch wheels 513m oem amber corners and side markers oem front and rear bmw emblems Last edited by E92Mthusiast; 02-01-2020 at 12:51 PM.. |

Pm sent but don't think you got it.
Can you describe the "ticking" in the motor? Are you sure it is not Vanos related or something else? Have you had the motor inspected by a bmw tech to know for sure? Does the noise get louder and more frequent as the rpm's rev up? Is that dry rot at the seals only in the location in the picture? Or, is it throughout? Any rust showing? Frame reinforcement done?? Also, do those 513's bolt right up or do they have a different offset and/or spacers? Nice look on the E46. |

Vanos has been rebuilt. I have had it inspected by a BMW tech and they think the ticking could be a rod bearing. I bought the car like this an planned to do an LS3 swap track car, but haven't had the time to work on it. The parts alone and wheels are probably at least 6k. If you wanted to keep the s54, it will probably need a bottom end rebuild, or you can get a used one for 3k or so depending on mileage.
